After calling several accelerated flight programs throughout the country I finally talked to AFIT. I trained for my commercial and CFI with AFIT. Again, I want to thank you both for helping me to achieve a lifelong goal to become a private pilot. During my search for the right accelerated school, I contacted dozens of schools throughout the U.S. (including AFIT). I spent 10 days flying with Andy, completing my training. John is an excellent instructor, very patient and always ready with tips to ace all PPL maneuvers. Yep, it was heavy a total immersion in flying but success only comes after hard work! In six days, Adriel had me transitioned over to the six-pack from my G1000 familiarity, re-soloed, pinned-down some landing challenges I had, and had me prepared to pass my check ride. I cant say enough about how well Alex cares fortheplane and keeps it in top shape. We had just done a lot of time doing cross wind landings. I learned a lot in such a short amount of time, and I would have never imagined that I would be able to do my first solo after one week and my first cross-country solo shortly after. After going over flight maneuvers, Pattern work and the Private Pilots knowledge (Ground School), I was given a Pre-solo test and by day three I did my Solo. Well, it looked like it was going to take at least several hundred more hours to get my PPL with Riddle anyway, so off I went to AFIT (with no regrets or reservations) and a week later I had my Private Pilots License! Hes very professional, has a wealth of experience as a pilot and teacher and is able to relay the concepts and the actual act of flying an airplane masterfully in the short amount of time given in this program.
